Artist Biography
Vintage southwestern Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise, red coral and Mother of Pearl Inlay cardinal and flowers pendant and cuff bracelet of sterling silver and red coral stones and hand stamped designs, Hallmarked Whirling Winds. It is hand crafted by Navajo Ray Morton, a self-taught Navajo silversmith from the Black Streak Wood People Clan born for The Towering House Clan. The cuff bracelet has Ten coral stones, cuff has Nine rails of silver merging to become 1 1/4” at the terminals. Interior of the cuff measures 6″ with an additional 1 3/16″ non-adjustable gap. Total circumference: 6″. Measures 2 5/8″ straight across the widest part of the cuff bracelet. Face measures 2 5/8″ top to bottom. Weight: 1.03 grams.
Mother of Pearl Inlay cardinal and flowers pendant of sterling silver and red coral stones and hand stamped designs, Hallmarked Whirling Winds. The pendant has Ten coral stones measures 2 ¾” top to bottom, 2 9/16” side to side. Weight: .57 grams. Not marked to be sterling, as most vintage sterling silver Native American items do not have the Sterling mark.
