Lamar Dodd, NA was a painter, educator and lecturer born in Fairburn, GA, who lived in NYC and Athens, GA. Dodd’s painting locations include Monhegan Island, ME. He was Associate, Professor of Art, University of Georgia, Regent’s Professor of Art, Lamar Dodd Professor of Art, Head Department of Art and Chairman, Division of Fine Arts. He held positions as president, College Art Association of America, US Department State Committee Arts Tour, NASA artist Apollo 7 and 10. Dodd studied at Georgia Institute of Technology, Art Students League, New York with George Luks, Boardman Robinson, John Steuart Curry, Jean Charlot and George Bridgeman, LaGrange College, University of Chattanooga, and University of Florida. He was a member of New York Water Color Club; Southern States Art League; National Academy of Design; College Art Association of America; Southeastern Art Association; Georgia Artists; Athens Art Association.
