Helen Alton Sawyer, NA (1900-1999)
Born/lived: was born in Washington, DC; Cape Cod, MA; Princetown, MA; lived in North Truro, MA; Hudson Valley, NY Sarasota, FL.
Known: Impressionism Landscape and still-life painter. She preferred oils and watercolors. She was married to artist Jerry Farnsworth. She was active in Provincetown and ran a school in Sarasota, FL with her husband Jerry Farnsworth.
Studied: at Masters School, Dobbs Ferry; National Academy of Design with Charles Hawthorne, Johansen, Sawyer; Arts Students League; Cape Cod School of Art.
